Default So bought a brand new torque converter...

I had a revmax TC installed with a 2800 rpm stall. Now I have a few questions about my experience with this TC for anyone else with experience. I am new to automatic transmissions, so STFA but found nothing on my question.

First of all the TC doesn't necessarily engage at 2800 sometimes slipping 500-1000 rpms higher. Is this normal?

Secondly, The torque converter slips completely and does not engage during cornering sometimes letting the car rev freely, I wouldn't think this would be normal, but as I said I am new to this.

Also could all of this be due to the fact that I still have the stock software running the trans? Do I need to chip it?

please help if you know anything about this

I had a 3000 stall in my dodge ram before i just sold it a few days ago and got my s4 but it never stalled higher then the 3000 and if it did it would start to cut the tires lose and as far as slipping completely that is not right either because my truck drove like a normal vehicle and stalled when i needed it to but it kept my shifts higher.....
