The stopping power is unreal - so much better - I'm really surprised. I'm stage 3 with Brembo 332s in the front. The R4-S, which are billed as a sporty street pad and suitable for spirited driving and occasional track use, suck by comparison. I've used the R4 pads - which are their true racing pads - on my VW race car for years and always loved them. I hesitated to try them on the S4 because they need some heat in them to work - so for a street car, having nothing there with cold pads in a panic stop situation was my concern. Well the S4 is just such a pig that the heat gets there almost instantly. There is no real "lag" before they start working. The bite is so much stronger, it's eyes popping out of your head material. I went out to do some logs and pulled up to 120 four or five times in a row and then slammed on the brakes down to 60 and they never faded. The R4-S pads would fade after the second or third time and then take a long time to come back. So these will be more dusty, but that's a fine price to pay considering stage 3 power (and my heavy foot) really demand good braking from high speeds. BTW, these pads have a nice feature in that they don't need a bed-in period. Now we'll see how long they last.

Default Agreed. Much better bite than R4-S. They will squeal a bit after they

burn through the R4-S material on the rotor.

Haven't - in part due to the difficulty of finding people who even know what pads fit the Brembos!

I haven't heard these squeal yet - on race car or today on the S4 - I hope they don't.

Default Yeah, but the brake dust welds itself to the wheels...

Esp if it gets wet....

Default No doubt, you'll get better cold bite w/ those track pads

but get ready to wear through those rotors along with increase in squeal/dust.
