so now that my clutch saga is over im left with a CM stage 3 clutch in my trunk...
and an ASP stg 4 ceramic in my tranny! i went with a Fidanza LWFW and a CM stg 3 kevlar clutch to begin with and when everything was installed, the clutch and FW combo was just NOT working... major PITA. i soon found out i had not done my homework and realized that the Fidanza LWFW and CM stg 3 had problems with the spacing of the friction surfaces... basically it just wouldnt engage. anyway, that led to my tranny having to be dropped AGAIN and i decided to just be safe and put in an ASP stage 4 (since ASP was doing the work and they had them in stock). well now it drives like a dream and i have a left over CM stage 3 set-up with <200 miles on it. over all im very happy with the ASP set-up, great pedal feel, smooth engagement, good "daily driving" clutch all together.
So if anyone is interested in the Clutchmasters Stage 3 that i took out, im looking to re-coup some of my losses. its basically new, but it has been installed and driven a few miles... email me for pictures or with any reasonable offers (ill take 350obo)

Did you have any problems with the LWFW hitting the starter?
Mine is getting worked on now. The FW is hitting the starter and will not go in right now. I am putting in a VAST LWFW and a stage 4 CM.
How many holes did your friction disc have if you remember?

nope, no problems with the starter, i think it was more the center of the FW
than the outside of the FW... the way the FIdanza FW is machined wouldnt let the sprung clutch disk engage properly and that just let to slipping and stalling... i didnt want to change out the FW so i had ASP machine down the center (mounting surface) of the FW and install one of their clutches... it was a major PITA but all is well again...

i would call you installer ASAP! if you have a sprung CM clutch disk
and a Fidanza FW you may be in for some serious problems.
someone told me there is an un-sprung version of the Cm stage 3 and that disk is fine for the Fidanza FW. im not sure if thats accurate info or not, but i know first hand that the sprung disk does NOT work. it will interfere with the mounting surface of the FW and prevent the friction surfaces from mating properly... i thought i did my homework too
