Default Steering column noise
Not sure if it is the steering rack but its mainly when standing still and I turn the wheel...any ideas how to diagnose what the problem is and how to fix it?

Default grease ze U joint...White lith.
assuming its the U joint making the noise.

Default 2nd
put some plastic over your carpet and remove the cover under the steering column and spray the lube all over the u joint at the firewall and the rubber gasket.

Default Did you try greasing it?
I would be interested to know if it worked out for you, I hear a noise that sounds like a squirrel coming from my steering column.

Default Haven't done it yet but will try...it could resemble a squirrel not sure what sound they make
but its a slightly weird sound so maybe it is a squirrel
