straight pipe instead of gutting pre cats...?
has anyone just completely cut out the pre-cat section of the downpipes and welded in a straight pipe? how did it work out for you? any problems? pictures? BTW, does anyone know how big the section of pipe is where the precat is so that i can get some straight pipe from the muffler shop and weld in there? that would be nice

Yes, everyone that has aftermarket downpipes has cut out the "pre-cat"section....
No need to re weld a piece there. You can just knock out the pre cat crap. STFA for piggie pipes.

Great idea to weld in a straight tube inside the precats...
that's what Brent LaBree strongly recommends.<ul><li><a href="https://forums.audiworld.com/s4/msgs/2781915.phtml">more...</a></li></ul>

respirator strapped to your face for what? it comes out in 1 piece if you cut the downpipe.....
put a piece of wood in it and on whack and it flies out. I can do piggies in less than 30 min.
