Finally took my 2000 Audi S4 into the shop to figure out if the TCM is salvageable, it's not. They said they're having trouble locating any used TCMs in Canada themselves (although I can find a good few) and I was quoted $1800 on a new one before labour.

Just wondering, can any TCM from a Tiptronic B5 S4 work as my replacement, or do I need the EXACT part number for it to work?
