Default Audi's answer to DRL, BMW's Angel eyes, whatever....e-codes have room for small bulbs

that you can use driving during daytime or dusk. check out markp's site where he has details on altering stock headlight stalk behavior. with position 1, he has just citiy lights on vs. ambers on the side (rear remains same).

Default Parking lights

I have these on my Model A, direct from Henry Ford. Little lamps inside the Headlight itself.

Default european version of "parking lights"

a dim lights in the headlights , the turn signals are just that , do not stay light up like on the us cars.

Default In modern times, it's a Europe thing -- dim headlight function to make you more visible

when you don't really need headlights to see. My RoW '78 911 had them.
