torque converter pull

Default torque converter pull

any one know how to remove the torque converter. i split my motor trans, and now need to remove the converter and flywheel. it looks like maybe its bolted on from the back threw a small access hole below the starter and maybe a torx, my t50 torx is my largest and before i go to buy another set i wanted to see if any one knew exactly what bold i need, bently says use vag tool v175, which i dont have

In order to separate the engine from the transmission you need to remove starter and turn the crank with a wrench and removed bolts that hold the torque converter to the flexplate aka flywheel.After that they should separate no problem.If you have them separated already the torque converter should slide right out its not bolted to anything on the transmission side jsut be careful alot of fluid will come out and make a big mess.

Thanks, I have engine trany split, so its tc n flex plate on my engine, I found the hole to access the bolts but idk what size torx it takes
