But the motul gear 300 is a solid replacement for the OEM Castrol TAF-X that is found in the S4 and all the longitudinal audis.
Swapped out the OEM in my friend's B6 S4 about 2 months back with Motul Gear 300 and the shifting was significantly smoother.
Also, Motul was one of the few oils that drained cleanly, although color changes can be due to heat in most oils.
