No offense, but the best way to install a turbo timer is to not bother.

2nd. Just drive easy for the last couple miles, install a lower temp switch on the afterrun pump, let it idle until the open door chime stops, etc...

What setup? The afterrun/secondary/auxillary water pump temp switch? There's an aftermarket temp switch available that will lower the point at which the secondary water pump comes on after turning the car off so it'll keep the coolant circulating to the turbos, helping a bit with cool down.

I currently have stock downpipes since the car is only stage 2. I do have ceramic coated ASP 3" DPs on the way though, to be installed whenever I get around to pulling the engine for some bigger turbos.

I'll just pile on - what they said. The car has an afterrun pump. Unless you are shutting down after running real hard (track day) you shouldn't have issues. If you're nervous - do the lower temp switch.

Funny tho - all that said - I've _never_ heard mine come on. I hear the afterrun come on all the time in my urq w/ 20Vt. Can you hear the fan? How long after shutdown does it usually take to come on? Or do they really only run when the car is shut down super hot? - which I don't do as I have natural cool down time on my daily routes....

I actually used your site to hunt down the PN. I can never figure out where the 2 sensors on the coolant pipe are within etka.

I have never within 5.5 years heard mine come on. I think the stock one is in the 200 degree range. since the thermostat is around 180(? not sure any more) you really won't ever hear it come on unless it damn well needs to.
