Vogtland C/O's- looking great after a winter in New England!
Last fall, I did a bit of back-to-back driving of an S4 running Eibachs. While the cars rode quite similarly, we discussed a major difference in the two set-ups. Vogtlands have a 10-year warranty, but normal shock bodies. The Eibachs lack the warranty, but have stainless steel shock bodies, so corrosion is less of a worry.
Last night I switched to my summer wheels and lowered the car a bit (1/8" in front, 0" in back). I'm happy to say, the shock bodies looked great, and didn't need any WD-40 or other lube to be adjusted. Overall, I was quite impressed given a salty winter in NE. We'll see how they hold up after another winter in about a year!

I think as long as you make it a point to adjust the coilovers after every winter...
they won't seize up. If you leave them for a few years (even if you clean them but don't adjust the perches), they will seize.

oh, and this brings up another question...
right now, I'm running a tight 2-finger gap (between tire and fender) at the front, and 2.5-fingers at the rear. I didn't have a change to measure the fender heights yet, but how does that sound as a rough estimate?
