Default warped rotors....

I've had my S for about 6 months/10,000 miles. I I think that my front rotors are warped. Has anyone else had this problem? What have you done about it? Warranty? New aftermarket rotors/pads? So far, I have not taken the car to any tracks/drag strips. This is after nothing but regular street driving. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Steve

Default Yep, mine warped before my 10K service.

Dealership replaced the rotors & pads under warranty without any hassle.

good warranty-fix case! Do you feel vibration/chattering upon braking?

Default Mine too

Poor rotor material IMO. I've heard this from quite a few others too.

Default Yeah, it sucks. I'm so paranoid and careful about warpage and...

...it still happened! I guess I'll make an appointment...

Default Should be no problem getting it fixed under warranty. Do you swap wheels often?

Rotors may warp if the lugs are overtightened or if a caliper gets stuck.

If you don't plan to go on the track there is no reason to go with aftermarket rotors/pads. If you do go with aftermarket pads you may run into warranty issues.

no, i've never changed my wheels. I may have had a rotation. I'll stay with stock pads...

Mine currently have a mild pulsation under medium braking, going in to dealer next week.
