Getting it to fit is no problem. Here's my AVIC Z1 installed.
You can probably get it alot cheaper at online places. Check out the link to AVIC411.com and you can lurk around there and find it for at least $100 cheaper. But you can't beat the after sale support of Crutchfield. I've used them several times & they're great.

ditto on the AVIC-Z1 (now called Z2), if you can swing the extra $
It includes a built-in Hard Disk Drive. The Nav maps are all preloaded on the first 20GBytes of the HDD. Every time you load a CD into the unit, it rips the CDs to the extra 10GB of HDD space. Frees up the clutter of CDs in your car.
By moving the maps to the HDD, you still have the CD/DVD slot to play music or videos.
Lots of extra AUX connections and Pioneer's IP-bus I/O to add extra modules like BT, iPod and Sat Radio. Costs money though. You can also input a backup camera and add rear seat TV monitor.
I bought from Crutchfield and installed in my wife's Toyota Land Cruiser. I struggle with whether I should go for it again for my allroad or buy the Audi RSN-E nav unit.
