for guidence.
Of course I will read the manual cover to cover, but should I take it out for a couple 100 mile spin right away - to build its legs and driving envelope. Or, take it into traffic(dear God help me) because that's where it's going to have to do a lot of its day-to-day work.
I deal with 15 miles of "Big Dig" commuting each way every day, with a lot of 1-2-3-2-1 shifting.

When I received it my dealer told me :
- Load the trunk with 25Kg (Coke cans)
- Do not exceed 3000rpm when cold
- Do not exceed 4000rpm for the first 500Km
- Often shift up/down and let engine rev up
- 500Km to 1000Km, go up to 5000rpm sometimes
- 1000Km check oil
- +1000Km enjoy ;-)
If you do this you'll preserve the ability of
your turbo to engage at 1850 and not at 2000+
Hope this help
