They'll replace the detector without charge if you provide "proof of purchase and police report of theft of radar unit". Clever bunch of guys. Sense of humour too.

I do like the fact that they can conceal the device entirely in your car without any obvious tell tale signs. That alone is tempting.

Depends on the province. In Ontario and Quebec radar detectors of any kind are illegal. I believe BC and Alberta are legal. No idea about the rest.
