If i were ordering a S4, I would...
but i'd have to think about it. I love how both of them look, but the station wagon would be the ultimate sleeper car. I personally love the RS2 and RS4, if they are produced only in Avant form. I think its more exclusive- there's so many A4 sedans running around. I can't explain it, I'm 16 and I love station wagons...but only fast ones. The Volvo S70 T5 station wagon is one of my favorites, along with the aforementioned RS2. S4 Avant would be great, but I think I would end up going for the sedan, even tho I love the Avant. Sorry so long...

If the question is, would I buy an S4 Avant over an A4 Avant, probably not. In my case, mainly due to cost (or, depending how you view it, cheapness on my part). I bought my Avant to handle great, cruise great, be semi-luxurious, and be somewhat practical, not to be the ultimate in performance. 190 HP is enough for me for now. Geez, I already have to use to cruise control or else I look down and I'm doing 90...
Now, if you gave me the money to buy an S4, and offered an S4 Avant for the same price, and I couldn't buy the A4 Avant and pocket the cash, I'd get the S4 Avant. Why not get the extra space?
Now, the RS4, that's something really special, might tempt me there. :-)
