Default Yellow S4 at dealer in Dallas

It still had the shipping plastic on it Wednesday. Is this not a regular delivery S4? The head salesman took it home to hide it. A friend got to ride in it and said that it is very fast, quiet and smooth. They launched with the traction control on and when they grabbed second several tires chirped.

I can't decide whether I want Audi to bring over the S4 Avant next fall or not. If they do I won't be able to resist it, but that doesn't mean that I'll be able to afford it.

Default "...launched with the traction control on"???

Ummm, the S4 doesn't have any kind of switchable "traction control". It has quattro and EDL, but you can't turn these ON or OFF.

Am I missing something?

Default I believe they at some point did

An older model year of the Bi-turb S4 (I think 98) had controls for the EDL and I think also traction on the dashboard. According to a friend of mine at MTM too many customers were confussed by the buttons and never used it so they were set to "permanently on". They also turned themselves off over a certain kmh so some people thought they were broken when they tried to fiddle with it.
Thank you for ignorant people that can afford nice cars and then have good features downgraded for the rest of us.

Default Remember, you could probably wire in a switch for EDL
