Default 20" or 21" AFtermarket Wheels

I placed an order for a 16' S6 last week and have been taking a gander at some aftermarket wheels. I have really taken a liking for the Klassen M52 in matte black. My question is would a 20" rim or a 21" rim be better for the S6? With the options I requested the car comes with 20" rims. Just looking to get some better insight on which rim size would be best for the car. Thanks!

It really depends where you live and the roads you drive on. I live in the midwest and run 20's in summer and 19's in winter. The roads here suck and I personally like driving on 19's better then 20's due to pot holes and a better ride. I like the way larger wheels look but not how they feel in day to day driving. This is a fairly heavy car and i've bent some 20's. I cringe at the thought of running 21's here but that's me.

Personally I would go with the 20's in the summer as Deazy mentioned. I think the 21's are a big big and you may find less selections and more issues with those larger wheels.

I have a set of 20's on order for summer and I am using the stock 19's for my winter set-up.

I have been working with Brandon at Wheel Experts...he is great to work with and I found his prices to be highly competitive.

I have these wheels on order...should be here next week.

Just ordered a set of Vossen VFS1's in 21". I am running a staggered set 245/35 on front and 285/30 on the rear. The stock 20 that come with the car will be winter only with a set of Blizzaks.

Gosh, I'd like to have more rubber on the front, not less. My 255's are not quite enough when you push it hard around corners.

I'm curious how the staggered look will turn out. It sounds pretty nice. The roads where I live in WA aren't too bad, so I think I will be alright with 21"

I have a set of 21" HRE's that I had built for the S6 that I'm selling, they are the 797rs in 9.5 square widths but staggered offsets.

My situation is pretty similar , my oem are 20" with performance summer , I initially was thinking to put winter tires on them and get 21" for the summer, using rs7 specs , but now I am leaning to either get a second after-market set on 20" for winter as well. Issue I found is that the oem 20" size with tires feels a bit short on cornering , what I will probably end up doing will be to stay with 20" for both summer/winter , but get some wider summer tires

What offsets and tire sizes are you running?

Here in New England, I run 20" summer and 19" winter. If your roads are smooth as glass, I imagine 21" should be fine, otherwise be prepared to spent some $$ on rim repairs.
