2013 a6 MMIupdate
Hello
Just purchased a used 2013 and it looks like I have
HN+R_US_AU_K0609_2
8R0060884BA NAR 5.7.3
I am a bit confused since there are multiple threads about this but there seems to be a way to update both map and firmware via sdcard or dvd
Can someone please point me in the right direction on what mmi I have 2G/3G/etc and how to update everything ?

You have the MMI 3G+ and you'll have to go see a dealer to get the firmware and maps updated. If you plan on using Audi Connect, then your MMI will eventually also need a hardware upgrade, otherwise the mobile Internet connection will be downgraded to 2G once T-Mobile does their network upgrade in your area, if they haven't done so already. The hardware upgrade can be performed at an authorized dealer free of charge and it includes an update to the latest firmware.

Further, expect to pay in the $350-400 range for the dealer to update the nav map data. Unreasonable? Yes, but there is currently no real user alternative for the US MY2012-2015 A6.
Also, the latest MMI version most dealers are updating to is 0715-2. 0814 will come with the modem upgrade. Dealers will rarely update the MMI under warranty unless there is a good reason, i.e. the modem update, since Audi will not reimburse them otherwise. If you are not eligible for the modem update now, a good reason to use with the dealer is "my wife's Windows phone will not work properly with Bluetooth". MMI 0715-2 addresses that. This, of course assumes your 2013 is still under warranty. If not, it get tougher to gert it done at no charge.

Correct for the MY2012-2015, on the positive side, $400 for a map update every few years is still cheaper than the mandatory $25-$30 (6/30 month subscription) new AudiConnect fee. With a working Internet connection, Google Earth overlay usually shows new streets even if the navi can't guide you there. I would go for the modem upgrade though and tell them you are not subscribing to AudiConnect until the modem has been upgraded to support 3G on t-mobile in all markets.
