2016 S6 with All season tires
Hi Guys,
Just wondering if anyone ordered S6 with all season tires on 19" wheels from the factory? If so, how since it doesn't show on their order sheet.

wait, wait - you only can't 'order' it because it's a "standard feature" (see top of sheet): "19" 5-Parallel-spoke S design wheels with 255/40 all season tires."
but if you order Black Optic it comes instead with 20" with summer P Zeros, which are pretty OK in light rain but require a minimum 45 degree air temp or the compound is subject to cracking.
tradeoff: the P Zeros are WAY stickier than any all-season tire, yielding the max performance of the car in mild weather, but in most states you're kind of compelled to get a set of winter tires. preferred solution is to buy 19" rims THAT FIT - most don't clear the calipers - and, if you ever encounter snow, a set of real winter tires, the Blizzak and the Mich Alpin being head of class depending on just HOW snowy your winter conditions are. Tire Rack is a great place to shop, and they know for certain which 19" wheels clear thos massive brakes. poke around some more in the forum, there are a few threads on winter tires and wheel options.

I dont know what order sheet youre looking at, but the order guide I have on my desk right now does not show all-season tires standard at all. The only "S" models you can ORDER with all-season tires is the S4. The S6 only comes with the summer tires no matter what.

I had Continental ExtremeContact DWS swapped on to mine for delivery and I'm very happy with them.

I dont know what order guide you had. The 16 order guide wasnt even out at that time and all the 13-15 S6's were the same with no all-season options. Maybe if you live outside the US you might have a different order guide.

This one. This was released in January, more than a month after I had placed my order, and was the first I saw that had pricing. It wasn't until the content hit the Audi web site that they changed it to Summer rubber.

That one must have been changed so quick that it never even passed over my desk. I would be highly surprised if they ever had all-seasons standard on an S car. Having an option though would make sense.

ah, you're right, the guide released in April - after many of us ordered - subs the summer tire. The previous order guides were A6 and S6 only and a bit obscure because you couldn't order any 2016s other than C7s before that.
so what 'summer' tire comes on the standard equip 19" wheel? anybody know? if it's not the P Zero (I'm guessing not, $$) it likely has better cold weather durability.
