2016 S6 Premium Plus - any help appreciated

The saga continues... lol
This is more of a CPO question now but this vehicle is a good example.
Leased by dealer. Modified by leasee and returned with in 12 months.
Offered for non CPO sale by same dealer.
Wholesaled by same dealer
I found it (vin # match) 500 miles away -by chance-at a non Audi third party auto group.
Offered for sale again.
Now it has reappeared at another Audi Dealer in the same area with a CPO attached to it.
I have no idea what was completed to achieve the CPO but my question is this.
Can an Audi that has been thru a non Audi dealership be reaquired by Audi and CPO'd ?
I have no interest in this vehicle itself anymore but am still looking and i'm curious if this lessens my opinion of the CPO provided by AOA. I know what this car need to get there and as I said i'm not sure if it has been completed. IT may have, I just don't know.
I thought AOA would only want to CPO cars that they have had a good track record of - and cars outside the AOA (or in the 3rd party world) are harder to keep the lineage of I guess is my point. Perhaps that is not of concern.
Cheers and thanks for listening.

I'm not positive but I believe it doesn't matter if a car has had more than one owner or passed wholesale through a non-Audi dealer. An Audi dealer should be able to CPO a car so long as it meets the requirements of mileage, condition, with inspection, is brought up to CPO standards and they pay Audi for the certification. What were the original mods? Perhaps the last dealer corrected them (if the car had a TD1 mod, it couldn't be sold as a CPO). Or perhaps they're playing loose with the rules here. Obviously hard to say without seeing the car and knowing all the details.
