It goes back to the Firestone Ford Explorer issue.
Thanks to that we have US door labels which only show the fully loaded inflation pressures to avoid any legal issues. European door stickers are different and show multiple pressures based on tire size and load like the manual.
Here is an example of one from an A4. I've not seen one online for a C7.

I am running 44 front 39 rear now, as I have not yet driven the car with more than one person or with a loaded trunk. I have never seen anything close to a 5 pound difference front and rear on any car, but this is my first Audi. This is clearly an effort to tame the understeering characteristics of the car. I guess I will try the fully loaded pressures, but they are radically different and I would expect the handling when driving with me and a briefcase (or one front seat passenger) will not be optimal at all.
I just realized how big the gap is between normal/full load on the S6 and that it's reversed for full load (more pressure in the rear vs front). That I'm seeing for the first time. The recommended pressure on the RS5 is 39f/35r (normal) and 44f/41r (full), so it's always higher pressure in the front and not such large gaps, considering that both cars have a heavy V8 in the nose. I think different tire pressure front to back is also a thing of the newer platforms. My B7 S4 was 44 all around. Don't remember what the normal pressure was, but I believe it was also equal front to back.
