I am also using the stock rotor wheels for my winter wheels with 255/35/20 Dunlop Winter sport 3D.

I am a fan of the 20" wheel for the S6. IMO, it looks just right and if you have any sort of bad roads it offers extra protection for your very expensive HREs.

Please see my post on my HRE P43SC.....

Guys,

I'm looking at picking up a S6. Was debating between SQ5 and S6 since my wife likes her SUV's. But the V8 TT vs V6 TT was the deciding factor.

We are in Minnesota so I will use the stock 20's as "Winter Wheels' and will order some custom wheels. Question is will 20x10 all around fit? I assumed they wouldn't but it sounds like a few members are running these. Would be sweet to run 20x10's all around with 285/35 tires. Otherwise I will pick up 20x9 or 20x9.5 with 255/35 or 265/35.

Thanks for any suggestions or feedback.

20x10 will fit but I don't think the 285 tires will. You can put 265 on 10's if you want but there will be a slight stretch. 265 on 9.5 is right in the sweet spot.

I talked to a wheel company and they said 10's wouldn't work with 275's. Only 265 and I'm not a fan of the stretched look.

I will probably go with 9.5 with 265 or 275.

Is your car lowered at all? That is also a consideration. If lowering will take place less tire width makes more room.

And of course offset can dictate what size tires can be used as well. Narrower tires/ some stretch will permit more aggressive wheel offset.

Yes, car is lowered the 15mm by audi service... BC forged doesn't disclose the offsets, so I can't tell you what they are.
