All day driving an S7 with standard Sport Seat
Hi all: To make sure the sport works, I rented an S7 for the day. AMAZING, stunning car -- wonderful engine, driving well over 100 mhp on 280 here in the Bay Area (and went form 60-100 in like 1-2 seconds) -- great sounds, smooth, etc. One of the most interesting, coolest cars I've ever driven.
But: The seat, not great -- It feels comfortable, but I get lots of back pain .. Definitely not working for me. Serious bummer.
Question: What are all the different seat options for the A6/7 or S6/7? I know there is the following:
1) standard A6/7 seat
2) Comfort seat, available in the A 6/7 and S 6/7 (Are the comfort seats the same in the A6/7 as in the S6/7?
3) The Sport seat for the S6/7 S's and in the 2017 Competition A6/A7
4) I've heard folks talking about a "Prestige" seat??? Is that different form the standard A6/A7 seat?
Were there any other seats for the C7 platform over the last few years?
Thanks!!

When I bought my S6 in 2013, with the Comfort Seats, they weren't available in the standard A6/7 (and I don't particularly like the seats in the latter models). The Comfort Seats are a great choice, as they have a lot more adjustability (at the expense of some lateral support), and offer massage (which I use every day) and cooling (nice for really hot days). They're basically the same seats as in the A/S8, minus a couple of adjustments. Definitely an "all-day-comfortable" option.

Your only option would be the Comfort seats. My S7 has the sport seats and we just did about 4000 miles of which 2600 was the round trip from Boston to Orlando. Neither of us had any issues with the seats. I guess they just fit us a bit better than they do you.

Audi on Demand. San Francisco is the pilot city and only place in the US so far. It's also offered at the Munich airport if you ever want to travel to Germany and rip up the Autobahn in an R8 :-)

As for the sport seats, I've read a handful of reports from people who couldn't get comfortable in them. The sport seats are pretty much the same across all S and RS models. I find them quite awesome actually. My longest trip so far is 12 hours of driving in one day. No issues whatsoever.

There have only been 2 seats available in the US for the S6/S7, as far as I'm aware.
The diamond-stitched seats are standard, and the "Comfort" seats are optional at additional cost.
Seat comfort is very much a personal thing, but I've driven cars equipped both ways, and to me, the Comfort seats are definitely more comfortable (duh).
That said, I find the standard seats to be quite comfortable overall, and I wouldn't give up their looks to be a bit more comfortable. YMMV.

I'm good with the standard sport seats. Your comfort is an individual issue, as you've noted. I had cooled seats on my former Cadillac CTS and rarely used them. I'd gladly trade that for the heated steering wheel in my S6.
For anyone of larger stature (I'm 6'4" but 185ish pounds), the sport seats' extra lateral support may be a deal breaker. I've never felt fatigued in my S6's seats after long drives. I can't say the same for the cheap seats in my daily driver, a 2016 Chevy Sonic RS.
