Default Alternatives to OE brake pads on the C7 S6

What are people using other than the OE brake pads on their C7 S6s?

How do you rate them versus stock in terms of performance, noise and brake dust?

Akebono would be my first choice, but they offer only the rear pads. AKEBONO EUR1547A Euro Ultra Premium Ceramic Pad, Rear

Note the rear Akebono pads have nearly the same number as the Disc Italia Kevlar pads (xxx1547)
The Disc Italia Titanium Kevlar pads look interesting, but reviews are mixed.

You can find a lot of Pads for the S6 C7 here: ShowMeTheParts - Search for Auto Parts Online

Disc Italia Titanium Kevlar( Titanium Kevlar) 2015 AUDI S6 Brake Pads | Advanced Braking Systems | Brakeworld
Front: TK1575 In Stock $140.00 (Axle Set)
Rear: TK1547 In Stock $95.00 (Axle Set)

Disk Italia ceramic. Been running then for 8 months and love them. Tighter pedal than OEM, minimal dust and they stop just as good. Now that winter is here, I've heard none of the cold squeal the OEM pads make, but it hasn't gotten really cold yet so the jury is still out on that one.

I'm also looking for a recommendation for new fronts and rears. Both of mine need to be replaced soon. I'd like to try something aftermarket. The excessive brake dust and noise from the stock ones makes me think there has to be something better out there. The dealership wants to replace all pads and rotors for a little over $3k.

Someone here has to have replaced pads and rotors by now. Thanks for any help.

I did a write-up for the front brakes (you can see it here). It's not that hard and the parts should be available online for less than the dealer charges. Audi specs that the rotors need to be changed at the same time but you can measure and see if they're below minimum thickness or not (mine were fine and I left them in). The rears are a little more tricky in that you need VCDS to release the electronic parking brake. Other than that, any reasonably-competent DIY-er should be fine.

Thanks for the detailed write up!
