I have heard the same. I have heard that Stasis and Audi dealers may be history.

From my Audi dealer contact:

From what I know, Audi and Stasis are not buddies. The new Audi system “tags” any software that is not factory and logs it FOREVER and there is no way to undo this. They want to make sure that not just the first owner has a car that can have a warranty, but the next owner and after has a car that can be under warranty or will be reliable.

As of the moment, we also do not currently do Stasis, but have in the past. APR is another option that is the same thing but doesn't offer a warranty with the product for about half price. If the Stasis offered warranty doesn't do anything, it seems pointless to me."

So I am ready to pull the trigger on an APR Stage 1 ECU 93 octane chip upgrade for my '07 S6. I am hearing lots of chatter back and forth - worth it versus not worth it. I love the '07 S6 and will probably never get rid of it in part because I doubt anyone will put this engine (5.2L V10) in a car again. So now I am just looking for some members' experiences with chipping this car (or at least this engine) in particular. No turbo/normally aspirated, so hopefully that means reduced potential for problems down the road. I just want to make sure I am getting good value for money - is the increased HP/torque noticeable during everyday driving or just during track day driving? Thanks for any information/experience you can share.

If you look in other forums you see mentions of S6 throttle lag, particularly in the 0-30 range. Does anyone know if the APR Tune makes much difference on this lag?

The car is much faster overall, but the tune doesn't do anything meaningful for the lag.
