April order thread
Sorry if an April order thread already existed, but I couldn't find it!
I always told myself that when my car arrived, I was going to take the most beautiful set of photos that I possibly could -- a set that I would have liked to see all throughout these months of waiting. Well, that day finally arrived, and given how fun the day and car has been, I can now see why people are maybe a little too preoccupied to take dozens of high quality pictures and videos.
ANYWAY, without further ado, here is my Moonlight Blue/Arras Red 2016 S6 with packages: Prestige, Sport, Driver Assistance Plus, Arras Red, Black Optic.

And for those who want some data on the order progress email timings, I live in California and my emails arrived on the following dates:
1) Ordered: April 13, 2015
2) Built: May 14, 2015
3) German Port: May 31, 2015
4) US Port: July 17, 2015
5) Made it to the dealership on July 21, 2015 and I was able to pick it up as early as the 23rd.

Congrats! Beautiful car.
It looks like your car had a long ride from the German port to the U.S. (6 weeks) I'm curious if that's due to the fact that it landed at a port on the U.S. West coast. However, on the plus side, it only took 4 days to reach your dealership. My logistics are almost the reverse, 2 weeks to get from the Emdem port to Canada (Halifax), but it's been on trains/trucks to get to my dealership for almost 2 weeks now and no ETA.
Enjoy the S6!!

Not only is San Diego a significantly greater distance around through the canal, but the West Coast shipments are less frequent. my car, having barely missed one West Coast ship, has been sitting in Emden for about 2 weeks waiting for the next ship, which was scheduled to arrive tonight per PWL Group, but apparently is going to detour to Bremerhaven first and be several days late to Emden. Boy, the waiting, false predictions and disappointed expectations sure are fun.
my brother's S4, on the other hand, hit the dock shortly before the ship and reached CA in just over a month from shipment to Emden.

We hoped in Indiana that a S6 scheduled this week (I'm buying the 14 from the 16 owner) will arrive around the end of November. That sounds quick relative to this one, and I hope the dealer is right! Does anyone have history with transit time to the midwest? Would enjoy seeing the tracking info too.
