Somebody on the countryman forum already did a dyno and found 0 hp gain from the race chip. The company themselves never produced any claimed HP numbers (probably because they knew there weren't any gains to be had). Even after the countryman guy confirmed our suspicion that the race chip was worthless, he still claimed a "butt dyno" improvement. People have a tendency to justify their poor purchases

Or you can just keep replacing the steel brakes, like I'm going to need for the 2nd time in 35k miles.

It's the ceramic rotors that I hear are expensive to replace. I could be wrong. Been afraid of ceramic brakes for that reason. Or the wrong reasons.

A full refit of carbon/ceramic brakes on a 911 is close to $16,000!

Ceramic rotors should last the life of the vehicle. They probably wont but they should.

The rotors are generally the carbon components and the pads are ceramic. They both wear out faster than you think they would. They are great on the track as they don't really go away when they get a bit hot. On the street they really don't offer a lot. They need to be warm/hot to grab properly and they are horrible in the rain.

The thing is that Audi wouldn't do it for $3k, but maybe they would for $10k. The R8 Plus is a $20k premium

I could not find much on how this device is installed, there appears to be one connector and a since wire harness connector is shown in one picture on the Amazon Site.

Tell me, if APR wants much more money for their software only tune which DOES trip the TD1 and void your warrantee, then how is it that this product is "as good as a software only tune" and so much less expensive given it is more than software but also some hardware? I would have expected the price to be 50% more than an APR tune. So what gives? I suspect this product is nothing more than BS.

See here:

I am interested in trying this but I can't find much in the way of customers talking about their experience with this product.
