Default AudiConnect and Pin

I'm able to connect with MyAudi account on my computer and AudiConnect in my car using the password provided in MyAudi. But after I turn off the car the pin is lost and I must re-enter the pin to reestablish the connection. Is there some setting that will stop this nonsense.

No, it happens randomly on the 2016. Cross your fingers for an update.

Just got the car on Friday and it has happened 5 times already. Everytime I turn off the car

Spent 1 hour Saturday and 1 hour today with AudiConnect support with no resolution. They had me connect the telephone, do numerous resets, delete my account on MyAudi.com and establish a new one with a new pin and nothing. Now I can't even establish a conncetion between MyAudi and the car.

I have had 4 audis with the current iteration of the MMI system and there is always a significant problem with AudiConnect or Navigation. I believe Audi produces the worst MMI of all the car makers. Thier design team and the manufacturing VP that "approved" this system are incompetent and all need to be fired. If I didn't love the design elements of the car I would be done with Audi

There have been other threads where it is said the PIN entry on the MyAudiConnect they did on purpose to enter each time for security.

It is annoying. Hopefully they reverse their decision on the change and an update makes it so it saves again after first entry.

So, I now have 3 hours on support calls over 3 calls and no solution

They have confirmed that the system is supposed to lock in the pin and not be required every time. They also asked me to do numerous resets. They also asked me to install the app on my phone and log in. Check the SIM card.

After all this no solution but they said they would keep my case open

I have been a harsh critic of the Audi MMI system before and the 2016 version is no better. Cant find lots of addresses I manually input and was hoping the AudiConnect inputting would yield greater success. I will not be paying $450 when the trial subscription runs out for this pile of crap

Default Pin issues

I am having similiar issues with my PIN. I just called the dealer yesterday to figure out why it doesn't save this. Mine doesn't appear to reset everytime, but it's rather annoying since I can't create a custom pin.

Not sure what they where thinking, once I put the pin in it should save it, or at least tie it to my key fob.

Please let us know if how they fix this issue.

Same here. PIN has to be entered every time.

There have been several threads on this and people were told it was designed that way in the new MMI for security reasons. Audi really needs to reverse that decision.

Happens once in a while for me on my 2016 A6. I don't use it much anyway. I only use it from Navigation menu where it seems to remember my PIN. Btw, What feature do you use the most in Audi connect? I would have liked if the news section was elaborate than just headlines.
