I developed a rattle in the passenger side rear door. I thought it was the sun shade, but suspect it is actually a loose clip. Appears when it is colder and over the right bumps at the right speed. Dealer visit scheduled. Anyone else have something similar?

I have a metallic rattle that is in the seatbelt retractor on the passenger side rear. It is worse in cold and dynamic. Conveniently stops whenever it goes in for service but is distinct and annoying when its there.

I wonder if that is what I have, at times it sounds as if something is loose in that area, I'm thinking its the door but it's hard to identify.

I recall some of the earlier C7's had something loose in the rear suspension. Take someone from the service department for a ride and let them determine the origin.

Do you have the rattle when a passenger is using the seatbelt or if its just clicked in?

yes. Sometimes it stops, not sure why. I pryed the cover up and could get a finger in at the top of the seat back and can feel a metal piece that you can "twang" with your finger to replicate the noise. This is a distinct metallic rattle noise.

I had the rattle corrected today, they removed the door panel, applied felt tape to some plastic on plastic areas and tightened the sun shade. So far it seems good, time will tell if that was it.
