Escort Max 360

No - but I have a contact at Escort PR and I'm trying to talk them into giving me a free one to test and write a review for my website. They have previously provided us with two Passport 8500s and the original Max, so I'm slightly optimistic. I'll post the results if I do get one.

Interested to see the reviews.... I've been a V1 guy for years but the platform is feeling awfully stagnant as of late and with my transition (tomorrow!) to a 2013 S6 from my 335 it may be time to change!

I'm using it. Got it with the car 3 weeks ago, 1000 miles later and it's picked up cops I didn't see. From what I've read and my limited use, it should keep me out of trouble. Syncs with the app on your phone which gives you known speed traps, cameras etc.

I was devoted to the V1 for years and years until I finally switched to Escort. I guess it depends where you live if like in a city/suburban environment the GPS lockout feature is so nice. I tried to go back to my V1 shortly after moving to Escort and the V1 was just a beep box. I've owned the 9500ix, and now the Max. I basically drive the same route and and from work every day, and I know if my radar detector goes off and better listen. The V1 just makes you desensitized to the constant beeping.
In fact this morning on my way in there was a cop doing his thing in a zone where this is a permanent speed sign mounted (which my detector has locked out). I thought it was odd my detector was going off, and my screen showed the two sources (one being locked out), and sure enough there was a cop.
I'm not bashing the V1, as it is a fantastic detector with incredible range, but in the suburban environment I live in, it beeps more than not. I like my drive to be quiet and not constant stream of beeping.

Many on the radar detector forum have returned the device under the 30 day guarantee.

There is extreme lag in the directional arrows.

I will say I got my Max shortly after it came it. It had issues that were eventually corrected after several firmware upgrades. I'd say it's too new to jump on... I recommend the Max2.

If you are looking at the best value in a radar detector for 2015, you'll review the test results for the Uniden LRD 950. Uniden has released a real winner at a bargain price. Refer to: https://www.rdforum.org/forumdisplay.php?f=169
