I'm in the market for a 2016 S6 and located a car with the exact color combination and options I'm looking for. The car was listed for sale in Auto Trader at a non-Audi dealer. I negotiated the price of the car and made arrangements for the selling dealer to take the car to an Audi dealer (who I made arrangements with to do a full inspection).

The Audi dealer came back and said that the engine had been modified and that, because of the modifications, the original (and remaining) factory warranty is now completely void for the car. Both me and Audi informed the selling dealer of the finding.

Obviously, I walked away from the deal. It's interesting to note that the selling dealer's advertisement still says that the car is under the remainder of the factory warranty.

So, I'm still watching the classifieds for a 2016 S6 (that hasn't been modified).

What were they asking and how many miles? Makes me glad I have not tuned my 16...as I've been contemplating a RS7.
