I just placed an order for an S6 and wanted to start a thread for people who have also ordered their cars during the same time. It would be fun to track the progress of our cars together!

How soon after you placed the order did you get the information to be able to track the vehicles progress? My order was placed on March 12.

Make sure your sales person signs you up for the "Owner in Waiting" program. Audi will then send you emails as your car goes through the build process.

I am now going to raise your anxiety level a bit by introducing you on how to track your car's whereabouts after it leaves the factory. If you already know about the stuff below, disregard this post.

If your ship date is 3/31, your car would most likely be loaded into the Hoegh Bangkok Ro-Ro Vessel that is scheduled to depart Emden on April 2. You can download the VW KonzernLogistik Export Schedule for the month of March/April from the PWL Shipping website.

Then, use the marine vessel tracking websites to learn more about the vessel carrying your car and its progress. Note: When it is out at sea (nowhere near a coastline), the free tracking service won't provide further updates until it reaches Canada or the US.

Since there are no vessels scheduled to drop-off vehicles in San Diego, I bet that your car will be dropped off in Houston then trucked over land to San Diego.

I just spoke with my sales rep and she has me signed up for notifications from Audi! Can't wait to get the first one! The wait is going to be unreal haha

I'm assuming yours took a while to complete production due to it being started right before Christmas and new years?

I'm went to the pwl website and found non of the cargo vessels are arriving in San Diego. I didn't know trucking from Houston was an option. I hope they aren't waiting another month for a San Diego ship to be available.

I did some research, since I really don't feel like working today. And my sales rep is no where to be found.

Audi orders can be shipped from Emden or Bremerhaven. Since I didn't find any vessels arriving to Port of San Diego from Emden, Germany in April or May, I looked into vessels departing from Bremerhaven.

Found that there is a vessel departing 3/31 and arriving in San Diego 4/26. On average, Germany to West Coast usually takes about 26 days.
If my sales rep gets back to me, hopefully, I'll have a confirmation

Ordered Feb 24 but I think my production week isn't until Apr 10th. Strange that its delayed that long but whatever. Prob looking at mid June delivery.
