Wonder if you would have better luck doing European delivery as it bypasses the allocation circus.

The waits have been getting worse and worse since March. Demand really must have spiked. The A/S6 has been getting a lot of good press with the new refresh. Audi can't do a lot with high demand other than just put people at end of line. Probably A6 demand must be high too.

If it were me (my 3 months felt like forever) I would probably investigate if an S7 would take less time. Since the S7 is a little more expensive the demand may not be there.

I've thought about the S7 route, I just occasionally need 3 seats in the back.

Hopefully I'll get an allocation this week.

At least that way I have a more definitive time line, instead of just sitting here in limbo.

yea it always bothered me that they changed the A7 to 5 seats but left the S7 4 seats. It doesn't hurt the sportiness!

As much as I know your frustration, if you can wait, you will not be disappointed. I took delivery of my car last month and it has been awesome all around. The car is one of the best on the road and once you drive it you will appreciate why you waited.

Even took mine to the detailer today who is going to put on my Opti-Coat. They wanted to see it as they said if there was any paint correction needed they would need to charge a little more. They looked at the factory paint job... verdict... looks great no extra paint correction needed.

I went to several dealers back in late May and was told I'd be lucky to have an S6 built and in my hands by Thanksgiving. The message I received was that the weakened Euro has made it far less profitable to sell the S6 in the US when they already receive handsome profit in Europe. Ultimately, I had to settle for a S6 off the lot 1500 miles away that matched my order criteria close enough.... Discount wasn't what I'd hoped for vs. ACNA but papers are signed and car should be delivered to me in about a week...

Correct me if I'm wrong ... but wouldn't a weakened Euro make US sales more profitable? Same U.S. sale price = more Euros.

Sounds like another dealer just making stuff up.
