MMI downgrade from 3G to 2G

MMI downgrade from 3G to 2G
Over the last few months, I've noticed that more often than not, my internet is indicating 2G and not 3G, has anyone else noticed this. I'm just outside of Boston, in Worcester.

What year is your S6? Not sure if this would apply to your car or location but T-Mo has been upgrading their 3G network around the U.S. to bands the MY2012/2013 C7s do not support. It requires a modem update. I was told that the Boston area would be included in this change sometime in March and when it does happen, only 2G would be available in those C7s until the modem was updated.
You might want to add your car's info in your sig. Makes it easier to answer questions since different locales, models and years can be very different.
