My navigation screen did not popup on 2 occasions when I started my 2014 Audi S6, after shutting off and starting again it's back to normal. Anyone experience this, is there a tsb maybe? I am concerned at this early stage and this is already happening that the motor may be defective one day after warranty runs out.

This has happened to several times on my 2015 S6, I suspect that it's a bug in the startup firmware.

I've had mine fail to come out too, but it's been physically "stuck" an inch or so out, with pushing it back in fixing the problem. Therefore, I think my issue is mechanical. It also seems slow some days.

My car is at the dealer right now to replace the MMI display carrier. There is no TSB, but there should be a fault in the 5F Module, VAG03788. I advised the service writer of the screen problem, the tech could not replicate, but when they scanned the car they found the aforementioned fault.

They ordered the replacement part and are installing it today. No issues with the dealer, just let them know its happening and to scan the computer to get the fault.
