Greetings all - haven't been on the boards long - maybe 72 hours - but it was long enough to some great info and help with my purchase.

I didn't want to wait 1, 3 or 5 months for a custom order so I found a dealer who had one S6 in stock (only one out of 5 dealers I contacted), which was the result of a cancelled order - Florett Silver with black optics, driver assist, night vision and Aluminum/Black Beaufort Oak inlay.

Best part - I got the dealer to give me a set winter tire/rim package and winter mats as part of the deal. This surprised me as they didn't come back with a counter offer at all. Oh well, I'm not complaining.

Looking forward to getting the next 2 or 3 days over with and getting the car in my hands.

Lucky you. instant gratification. that was basically the car i ordered (with a few minor changes) and i waited 6 months!

… you will be pleased. Congratulations. I am going to test drive a Daytona Grey S6 today - sittin' on the lot - looking' lonely… I am considering jumping out of my RS5.

Thank you, thank you. Picked her up a couple hours ago and had a smile on my face all the way home. This is one serious car. Looking for a reason to have to go out right now.

Shocked as heck that they agreed to my winter tire package and winter floor mats without coming back with a counter offer.

…. the lease was much higher than I expected ($1200/month, all inclusive) and I am not quite even on the lease turn in, so more investigation is necessary.

Still on the hunt… The RS5 has brand new brakes and tires and 11K miles, so I am planning to pursue this a bit further.

The S6 is a pretty compelling car. Certainly not as hard core as your RS5 or even my previous tuned/lowered/braked B8 S4, but still such a pleasure to drive

One day, I'd hope for a chance to sample an RS5...that SOUND!!! :-)
