correct, i guess i should have stated that the awe would be great for someone looking to modify the exhaust into something louder but use the valves to quiet it down if need be like the OP stated

This apperently keeps the stock valves module 'open':
1). Engine module
Byte 9
Bit 2 - exhaust flaps installed (uncheck that)
Should be able to keep the flaps open permanently thrue VCDS.
Guess it does, as on my 'tuned' S6 it was already unchecked by previous owner and i had wondered why my valves didn't work

Hmm, my OBD software didn't showed labels on the bit 2, did it give you a label if that is indeed the flaps module?
