Opti Coat Pro vs. Ceramic Pro
Has anyone cross shopped between these two? If so, how do you compare them? Ceramic Pro sounds more involving than Opti Coat. Looking to get your thoughts and opinions.

I had OptiCoat Pro for about a year, but removed it to apply XPel Ultimate and Modesta BC-03.
I prefer the Modesta coatings over OptiCoat. They just look better.

Thanks for the links. I had already read the Tesla forum. The other link is not working, no worries, I will look it up though.

So I have heard. Thanks for your suggestion. I think I will be going the Ceramic Pro route when my car arrives. Would hate the idea of leaving the car at the detailer for a week.

Ceramic coatings will be a bit shinier but need to be reapplied every two years or so. Opti-Coat Pro will last indefinitely according to Optimum (unless it's polished off). Plus no waxing necessary. I have Opti-Coat Pro for 3 years and it looks as good as when first applied.
I have Opti-Coat Pro applied over the entire car including my Xpel Ultimate which is on the full front. The Xpel Ultimate with its shape retention prevents paint chips and the Opti-Coat prevents paint damage from bugs, ultraviolet rays and other environmental factors. Best of both worlds and best two investments I've ever made to a car.

Thanks for sharing your opinion. What was the cost for full front Xpel Ultimate? I was given a $1795 for full hood, both fenders, full bumper & mirrors. I need to make more calls to understand the median pricing.

When comparing pricing in your area, be sure the above is included in each quote.
The Opti-Coat Pro cost me $300 for the entire car including the wheels. Only franchised installers have access to the Pro version which uses a thicker coat than the DIY Opti-Coat product.
Mine was done almost three years ago so pricing may have increased since then. Also, I suspect pricing will vary for these services by location, local competition and, perhaps most importantly, installer reputation and expertise.
