Default How rare is the S6?

I love the fact that there aren't too many on the road. Does anyone know the actual annual US sales figures. Can't seem to find it anywhere. Everyone is lumping the A6 and S6 together in terms of numbers reporting.

The October and November US sales reports note a 7.9% and 6.2% sales mix for the S6, respectively. Applying the average of these figures to annualized YTD A6 family sales gives you about 1,500 S6s/yr. Now, the real year-to-year numbers likely have more variation, but it's probably directionally correct.

I agree with that math as well. I was able to find out that in 2008, Audi sold almost 1,200 S6's in the US. Given growth in popularity of Audi and the platform, my guess is between 1,350 and 1,500 per year.

In my town, I am spotting, on average, about two to three S6's/S7's per week. Not sure how this translates into total US annual sales.

I live in a very affluent area when it comes to cars, South FL. I have never seen one on the road yet.

Maybe they are the same ones? :-)

Where is your town? I live in the heart of Silicon Valley and every other car is a Prius and every fifth car is a Tesla.

Default NJ

I've seen 3 or 4 S6s in NJ. There are far fewer Priuses here than in CA. I think of my S6 as an anti-Prius.

Yeah you can't swing a dead cat in So Cal without hitting a Prius.

I drove a Prius in SoCal and sold it to CarMax the day before I picked up my S6. True story, lol. I have no problem finding my S6 in a parking lot.
