Default Reverse Slipping?

In the last week, my 2013 S6 has refused to engage reverse 3 times, and when it has, it acts as though a clutch is slipping - the engine revs higher than normal. The car has 55k miles, and has been maintained extremely carefully.

I searched the forum and did not see anything related, but apologize in advance if this is well-trodden ground.

Any ideas or guidance before I ship it off to the dealer appreciated.

I just had my transmission completely replaced at 5k miles for a similar issue, started with reverse, started slipping in all gears.
edit: my car is a 2013 as well

There are times when I first start mine in the garage and go into reverse, it revs but doesnt go anywhere. I just attribute it to being cold and just started. For the record mine is a 14 with 9k miles on it. But all my S6's(previous two also) did that so Im not really worried.

And the answer is: We took the car in yesterday, and the transmission filter had fallen off/broken inside the bottom of the transmission. It was blocking some fluid flow, and the transmission was malfunctioning because of it. A one-hour, warranty fix!

Good thing it was nothing serious (1-hour work) although it sounds a big deal with transmission involved. Was that what was described in the work order?
