Room for speakers in kick panels?
I'm looking to upgrade the Blose audio system in my S6, and I'm having a hard time finding space to put a midrange driver. I will run something between 6.5" to 8" midbass drivers in the factory location and I'd rather run a mid between them and some tweeters or a wideband mid/tweeter like the NZ3AlBe's that SubterFUSE runs in a-pillar pods. Neither of those will fit in the tiny, shallow midrange cutout in the doors or the tweeter pods in the dash.
I'd rather not wait forever to have someone make me some expensive a-pillar pods and I prefer to keep it somewhat stealthy, but I don't see a lot of options for mids.
Does anyone who's had it apart know if there's room in the kick panels (i.e. is there space behind) to install a 3 to 3 1/2" driver fairly flush? I don't want pods that protrude, as I want to keep my dead pedal and also not have me/my passengers kicking them.
