Default S6 Tuning Software

I did a search to see if tuning information had been compiled anywhere. I can't seem to find it if there is.

The tunes that I have been researching are (93 octane):
APR - 560HP $1,499
GIAC / AWE - 497HP $1,500
Revo - 530HP(? - not specifically listed) $1,199
Eurocharged - 500HP (? - graph shows 570ish but stock at 490ish - rated at 80HP gain claimed) $1,499
Unitronic - under development

Are there others? Is there a clear cut winner for the money?

Looking more into the numbers, APR shows the stock measuring out at 480HP. They essentially show the same 80HP gain as Eurocharged, but Eurocharged's gain is more consistent with better bottom end spread.

GIAC / AWE shows 77HP gain. But, their stock starting value is 381HP.

Revo shows a 100HP gain. They show starting at 414HP.

Eurocharged requires you to send your ECU in.

So basically, all of them claim 80HP gain other than Revo at 100HP. Standard price is $1,500 other than Revo at $1,200.

Unitronic &
Eurocharged.

AWE recommends running GIAC's DSG software with the GIAC tune. That's another $700.

FWIW I think APR is showing crank numbers whereas AWE/GIAC is wheel HP.
Stock crank HP from Audi = 420
Stock crank HP measured by APR = 480
Stock wheel HP measured by GIAC = 381

APR crank HP....better known as "corrected" as I don't think they pulled the motor to check it = 560
GIAC wheel HP = 460

So if we say GIAC has a correction factor of 10% that takes their stock measurement 381 to the audi crank of 420 or a factor of 26% to get to APR's 480 figure. That would mean GIAC should be around 506 with 10% (unlikely) or 580 with 26% (much more likely).

Maybe when someone has a dyno day we'll get actual numbers from each on the same dyno.

I think it has been said repeatedly but go with the tuner or shop who is local to you and can offer the best support for you.
