Yup, my loaded S6 has 95% of A8 comfort plus all the bells and whistles. It way out handles the A8 - this I know from experience.

I have the comfort seats in the 2014 S6, so it essentially has the same features as an A8. Coming from an '07 S8, the main reason for picking the S6 over the A8 4.0 was the practicality of the trunk. Not only larger on the S6, but the rear seats fold down. Lastly, nowadays, I rarely have more than one person in the back seat. I'd go for the S6 again.

I was actually in the same situation - was deciding between S6 and A8.
Took me one test drive - did not like A8 (the 4.0 version) at all which actually surprised me greatly since I loved the interior of the car and hoped to be impressed.

To me A8 suspension is nowhere as precise as the S6, more floaty but at the same time it still makes you feel every tiny bump in the road. Feels like vibrations, really, which I found very annoying. Comfort mode was a bit better I thought.
The car had 19 inch tires.

I must say this made my decision very easy!
