If you don't have pics, it never happened!

I just had the windows tinted and the roof wrapped in gloss black...

Now I'm trying to find out if the RS5 20" rotors will fit - a guy on Audizine has a set but says the offset is too low.

Thoughts?

IIRC the stock 20" wheels have an offset of 47. I've heard of people using 20mm spacers without rubbing, so you should be good with an offset as low as 27, as long as you don't lower it.

This information re. offsets is not difficult to find - certainly easier and quicker than taking wheels on and off the car to see if they fit.

Here is, by example, one resource for wheel offsets:
S6 : Audi S6 2016 - Wheel & Tire Sizes, PCD, Offset and Rims specs - Wheel-Size.com
S5 : Audi S5 2014 - Wheel & Tire Sizes, PCD, Offset and Rims specs - Wheel-Size.com
RS5: Audi RS5 2015 - Wheel & Tire Sizes, PCD, Offset and Rims specs - Wheel-Size.com

And the same source has one of the best visual calculators for the effect of changing offset, wheel height, tyre height, wheel width, etc, etc.:
Rim & Tire Size Calculator. Custom Offsets - Wheel-Size.com

The RS5 wheels come out 23mm vs OEM, which is getting extreme. There is no problem with suspension / brake clearance, despite the additional half inch wheel width. The inside of the wheel actually moves further out with this offset.

Challenge would be what tyre size to use.

Thanks for those sites. I had found them, too. but in all my wheel experience I have learned that sometimes #s are just that. The offset could "fit" the wheel and well, but not clear the calipers, or extend too far beyond the well, or...

I think, theortically, they would "fit" and give it a more naturally aggressive stance, but not sure about the caliper clearance, or 100% on the extra width inside the wheel well. I think the 20's on now are too far inset for my tastes, but i also dont like them to extend more than a few mm beyond the outside of the well, as that is just scratches waiting to happen! lol

I had no issues with my 2016 S5 switching from black optic 20's to the RS5 20" rotors...but that was the same chassis and same basic car.

The S6 is a newer platform, and different specs. And my 20's run really close to the front sport calipers.

Understand the concern, but your rotors are OEM Audi and not some Chinese made knock-off with a German sounding name

They are 8mm further out than S6 spec 20" offset of ET43, so will not have a problem clearing suspension and brakes. Audi do make the same wheel for C7 platform, if you scroll down to the bottom of the S6 splash page in Germany:
S6 Limousine > Audi Deutschland
you will see a photo of a suggested "sporty" S6 configuration in Ipanema Brown with the 20' rotors on it. They also have a 21" version as well.

But 23mm out is extreme, and I think you are right to be concerned about this, as it will look strange and probably hit the outer guard on severe compression. Either use 10mm spacers for your current wheels, or perhaps look at A7/S7 20" ET37 wheel options which will give you exactly the look you are after.

I bought 12.5mm spacers for all around for my 20's...but also picked up a set of Rotor 20's from a forum member...i don't thing i'll love them like i did my RS5 20's as they are not as concave...but could not justify two sets of split spoke 20's for the OTHER set of Black Optics...even tho I like those better...

Make any sense? Well..it does to me...
