Default Summer of Audi Finance Rates

Looks like there is a 1k rebate offer if you finance through AFS until Aug 4th on the S6.

Has anyone been able to get the rates they are offering on the promo? It looks like it defaults to 3+%, which is not a very good rates t.

I have found through USAA 1.5 for 60mo or 2% for 72 using automatic payments and their car buying program.

So not a really good offer with the rates they default to in the calculator.

AFS rates suck. Its funny when you walk into the finance office at the Audi dealership and they tell you its better not to go with AFS since their rates are crappy.

Since AFS rates suck, can I just purchase through them to get the 1k rebate. Then the following month go to my credit union and refinance the loan?

Is there any requirement to hold the loan for 90 or a period time to get the rebate?

Not sure. I'm sure the finance guy at your stealership could tell you. I took the 1500 loyalty rebate instead of the 2000 I could have gotten with AFS financing. I signed my papers the day before the Summer of Audi rebate started so I didn't get that one.

Yes, you can. All they care about is that you "purchase" the car via AFS. There is no pre-payment penalty for paying off the car before the term of the note.

I think it varies by the loan but finance can tell you the specifics. When I bought my wife's most recent X5, the minimum requirements for the "promotions" was to finance $8,000 and hold it for 6 months.

Ask to read the AFS agreement - don't rely on the salesperson or hearsay.

The salesman told me that if you make less than 3 payments the rebate is charged back to the dealer.

There is no prepayment penalty. I just paid mine off after 3rd payment without any charges.
