I wish Audi would make another RS4. That would be a great combination of h.p. with the handling of a smaller, nimbler car.

I would be willing to fly somewhere if the pricing was right. As for the S4, the B9 (future release) has been delayed two times I believe. I generally get a new car every 3 - 4 years, but I liked the S4 so much, I decided to hold on for another year thinking something new would be coming. Not even a design from Audi. My first thought was to go back to BMW, but then I thought a lightly used 2013 S6 may be in range.

Congratulations on the new car; just in time for the summer!

The 2016 A6 hp and torque I believe will be the same as the B8 S4. I would think that acceleration would be similar although I think the A6 will weigh slightly more.

Yes it will be the 333HP 3.0T variant from the S4, but the transmission (US) will be the 8spd with different gear ratios and the larger size/weight of the A6 will still put it a bit behind the S4.

Just did the math see below.

1. The S4 is rated at 333 HP vs 310 in the A6
2. The S4 weighs 3935 vs 4178
3. The transmission is faster in the S4

A6 310/4178=.074 vs S4 333/3935=.085

That is a 15% increase; should be noticeable

S6 420/4398=.096

13% more vs the S4

If you find one out of state, why not just have it shipped to you? That's what I did, and the dealership split the cost of shipping with me. Very easy.

"Lightly used S6"? Who buys an S6 for light use?

Depends on what you mean by lightly used. I've put 56000 miles on my 2006 G35x in 9 years and 1.5 months of daily driving. Many people would call that "lightly used" and barring any major career changes, I plan to put a similar number of miles per year on my S6 when it gets here.

I managed to pick up my S6 last week with only 4100 miles on the clock... That's light use to me! So stoked. Amazing car.

I guess I worry about taking someone's word that the car is in great condition. Similar to the "lightly used" comment. It means different things to different people. I have found that peoples opinions on condition of items is very subjective. Did you ask lots of questions about the cars condition, or did you just view the pictures on-line? What if you get it and find scratches, curb rash, or bad paint work?
