Value of Audi CPO versus non-CPO?
What value do you attach to it? Whether inadvertently or not, when the salesman sent me a copy of the CPO report, it had the invoice from Audi for the CPO designation. So, respond with your thoughts on value to you (versus extended warranty) and your guess as to the dealer cost.

Well, CPO is a warranty, plain and simple. It doesn't mean the car wasn't in an accident or wasn't mistreated, the criteria for certification are pretty weak. If you can get a different warranty for less, or are comfortable self-insuring, then you can pass.
That said, I wouldn't buy a car that couldn't be offered as a CPO.

I bought my 2012 A7 CPO - the dealer offered to take $800 off the price if they provide it without CPO. I wound up selling it before the CPO even kicked-in, so it was a waste of $800 in my case.

Good to know. In the past, it was reported to be $3k for the dealer to get a car designated CPO. At that price it was on par with a good aftermarket extended warranty. At $1750, it's a bargain.
