Default VCDS Parking Brake Changes

The security code that comes up for Parking Brake - 53 and preventing me from making any changes. Has anyone had problems on their S6 turning off the parking brake warnings and requirement to press the brake pedal? Any reason why this would be different from the A6-4F?

Turned mine off no problem. Not 100% sure, but doesn't VCDS generate a security code for you for this? Roll over the box with your mouse slowly, and I think you'll see it.

Yep, it comes up with the popup just like for everything else. It just doesn't accept the code. Would you or anyone else mind checking their code is the same that comes up with mine? 01437 is what it gives me.

Had no trouble with mine. I was hoping to figure out a way for the EPB to automatically activate when in park, but I tried activating automatic parking brake-automatic, shift P to EPB, and automatic parking brake for selector lever position P and none of these worked.

Those were each channels that I activated in the adaptation menu under parking brake module in vagcom. None turned the epb on when I moved gear lever from drive to park.

Did you ever resolve this? I'm seeing the same thing, though I've not yet been out for a test drive since picking "Shift P to EPB" which most sites say is the correct one.

No joy here either, and I'm starting to suspect why...
