Default VMR 19" or 20" on S6

A lot of good threads and pics on VMR wheels with the '13/'14 S6. Looking at the VMR v708 (RS4) rim for winter use. I've seen threads/pics of the 20" and sounds like a great fit (thanks Vijay). Does anyone know if the 19" will fit? I'm getting conflicting information from different folks. Will run a stock 255/40R19 wheel, just not sure if it will fit over the brakes. Assume these are hub centric 66.1 and the audi center caps will fit?

I really really doubt the 19" will clear the calipers circumferentially. The geometry of the VMR 708 is such that the inner barrel is somewhat small for a 20" wheel. There is actually reduced clearance even in 20" for the calipers compared to the stock wheels.

If you look at the pic below, you will see how the inner barrel is stepped up. You can also see how close the inner barrel is to the caliper. No way 19" will clear.

Thanks Vijay. I'm assuming you didn't have to use any spacers or hub rings?

No spacers or rings needed. Fitment is really perfect in 20".

Any recommendations on where to buy VMR wheels? Directly from VMR or does anyone have a good source they'd recommend?

Vijay -- did your Audi OEM center caps fit the 20's?

I bought directly from VMR. The Audi center caps do fit (look at pic) but it is a tight fit. Be careful putting them in.

Vijay -- were you able to use the OEM lug bolts with the 20" VMR 708s? I'm assuming I don't need to do with the TPMS other than recalibrate from the MMI menu.

Yes, you can use original lug bolts. Nothing to do with TPMS other than recalibrate through the MMI
